The Bread of Life Discourse and Marriage in Ephesians Ch. 5

This is a transcript, slightly touched up but rather unpolished, of my Sunday Homily on August 18th. The livestream replay can be viewed here. + + + Let me jump into the bread of life discourse. First of all, just to affirm in a very straightforward theological way, the Church takes the words of Jesus …

Rice Memorial High School Service Trip to Peru

In our 2024 (Feb. 22nd-March 3rd) service trip, our 9 Rice students, 3 chaperones, and 1 priest (yours truly), made the trek to work at two service locations. The Language of Sex and Gender and Trans

They are claiming rather, by the use of the word “trans,” that these chemical or biological realities have no social importance and no desirable bearing or impact on their life. We may try to describe the claims as a-biological, verses anti-biological or anti-science.  They are moral claims, and not ontological claims.

The Women in the Acts of the Apostles

This post has been proofread only lightly. Women of the Church in the Acts of the Apostles By Fr. Timothy Naples The women in the Acts of the Apostles are depicted as truly active personages. They are sometimes presented to us by Saint Luke as if being introduced to us like a person already known …
